Like Minds is our very first barrel-aged beer/wine hybrid. An attempt to marry the delicate fruit flavours created by yeast in beer and the fragrant qualities of white wine grapes. The majority (80%) of this blend is made up of a Brett Saison co-fermented with Belgian and Norwegian yeast strains. Before being moved into oak barrels, it was finished with our house blend of brettanomyces. After blending the barrels together, we added the featured piece to the project: some fresh Gewürztraminer Grape Must (pressed-juice) from our friends at Joie Farm. To top it off, we added some Citra hops to bring even more fruitiness to the foreground. Beer and wine lovers, rejoice!
